When we say “small”, it does not mean that the end goal should be too simple or easy either, but instead something achievable in a reasonable amount of time and effort. By starting with smaller goals, there will always be more room for growth as opposed to setting unrealistic expectations from day one which inevitably lead people astray down an unfulfilling path never meant for them in the first place.

Do you have a physical location to work from? If not, start by setting up an area at your home and get creative with what you can use for furniture (i.e., tables/chairs)

Are there any certifications that you need before starting this business? It’s never too early to begin researching which ones would be beneficial in order to stay competitive out of the gate.

What are some goals that are achievable within six months or less? This could be anything such as reaching 100 clients per month or having $5000 in revenue on average each month.

The first step in deciding whether or not to seek help from outside vendors is understanding your personal strengths, skills, and time available and how they can be used most effectively.
